Corvinus University of Budapest is seeking an experienced Chief Communications Officer with a strategic mindset to play a pivotal role in positioning the University domestically and internationally, strengthening its reputation, and managing its communications organization.
The Chief Communications Officer is responsible for the University’s communication activities and oversees domestic and international student recruitment, admissions processes, and alumni relations. Reporting directly to the Rector, the CCO is a member of the University’s Executive Committee and actively participates in preparing the institution’s strategic decisions.

Feladatok

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing the University’s short- and long-term communication strategy
  • Leading and developing the communications organization, a team of 20+ colleagues
  • Strengthening the University’s domestic and international reputation, brand, and unified visual identity
  • Managing external, internal, PR, marketing, and digital communications
  • Supporting executive communication and coordinating media and crisis communications
  • Strategically directing domestic and international student recruitment activities
  • Overseeing the operation and development of student admission processes
  • Coordinating key campaigns, content, media presence, and university events
  • Developing alumni relations and related services
  • Collaborating with the University’s leadership, organizational units, student communities, and external partners.

Type of Employment:

Full-time executive position under an employment relationship governed by the Hungarian Labour Code (Act I of 2012) and the University’s Employment Regulations. The executive appointment shall be for an indefinite duration.

We are looking for you if You:

  • Hold a university degree in communications or a related field;
  • Have at least 10 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role;
  • Are proficient in English and Hungarian, both spoken and written;
  • Possess strategic and systemic thinking skills;
  • Are experienced in implementing communication strategies, reputation management, media relations, and crisis communication;
  • Have excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills;
  • Are an inspiring leader capable of developing teams and organizations;
  • Are confident in managing complex stakeholder relationships;
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity, adaptability, and cultural sensitivity.

A Master's degree in communications, international work experience, and experience in higher education, student recruitment, or other large, complex organizations are considered advantages.

  • Professional CV in English;
  • Motivation letter in English;
  • A 3–5 page description of the professional and management concept for the position, outlining the specific short- and medium-term objectives to be achieved and the ideas and plans to support their implementation;
  • Declaration of a clean criminal record (of “good conduct”);
  • Declaration undertaking the obligation to submit a declaration of assets;
  • Declaration confirming that no conflict of interest exists with regard to the applicant pursuant to the University’s Employment Regulations, and that, in the event of a conflict of interest, the applicant undertakes to eliminate such conflict;
  • A data processing consent declaration;
  • Copies of documents certifying the required qualifications.
